Women in Horror Month

Here are twelve authors of horror, dark fantasy, and the weird who belong on all kinds of reading lists:

Anna Tambour
Genevieve Valentine
Gemma Files
Sarah Langan
Livia Llewellyn (look for her debut collection in March)
Kelly Link
Allyson Bird
M. Rickert (her new collection Holiday is on the shelves)
Cat Rambo
Nadia Bulkin
Margo Lanagan
Chesya Burke (she also has a new collection coming out in the near future)

Lucky 13 goes to editor Ellen Datlow who has been the prime mover of short horror for many years now.

There are only four of them unfamiliar to me.

Thanks for posting the list so I can begin reading those four.

BTW, I'm ready to start seeing more from one in particular, and that would be Nadia.

A wide range of styles, too. Cat is the least horror-oriented, but some of her imagery is quite dark.
